On 24 April 2024, the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D) was approved by the European Parliament, after a long legislative process lasted several years. This directive contains legal provisions aimed at the private sector, with a focus on large companies, to mitigate their impact on the environment and human rights.
