IBA Annual Conference 2018, 7-12 October, Rome
The 2018 Annual Conference of International Bar Association (IBA) will be held in Rome, the Eternal City where Chiomenti started 70 years ago its practice, from 7 to 12 October 2018.
Bringing together delegates from all over the world for the central event of the international legal community’s calendar, the Conference will provide business and networking opportunities, the chance to learn from the world’s leading practitioners and to be part of the debate on the future of the law.
The core substantive committee sessions at the heart of the conference program will cover most sectors and practice areas. Additionally, there will be over 200 sessions offering the chance to hear from the best experts in the field and benefiting all delegates on a wide range of topics, such as the challenges of law firm management and international relationships, ethics, the future of the legal profession, and the rule of law and human rights. You can hear from some of the leading thinkers in law today through a series of Showcase sessions highlighting the role the legal profession plays in society.
There will also be sessions highlighting the great work of the Presidential Task Forces.
The program will start with the Opening Ceremony on Monday 8 October at the Roma Convention Center La Nuvola, with the keynote speech by Romano Prodi (former President of the European Commission 1999-2004 and former Prime Minister of Italy 1996-1998, 2006-2008) and will culminate in the Rule of Law Symposium.
