The 2023 Budget Law, published on December 29, 2022 in the Italian Official Journal, has finally broadened Italy’s taxing power on gains from the sale by non-resident investors of participations in non-resident vehicles whose value derives more than 50%, directly or indirectly, from Italian immovable properties.
