Newsletter - Law Decree as regards financial stability: provisions concerning the GACS

Law Decree 25 March 2019 No 22 published in the Official Gazette No 71 of 25 March 2019 (the "Law Decree") introduces a series of amendments to the rules governing the State guarantee on the securitisation of non-performing loans (the “GACS”) contained in Law Decree No 18 of 14 February 2016, converted with amendments by Law No 49 of 8 April 2016.

The Law Decree introduces an extension to the GACS and a few substantial amendments to its provisions.
