According to the common belief, Legislative Decree no. 231/2001, which governs corporate criminal liability, refers to crimes committed in Italy by Italian companies.

Nevertheless, during the course of 2020 some relevant judicial decisions have confirmed a trend that had already established in some previous rulings.
