WeCare Week: a successful second edition

The second edition of WeCare Week, the week dedicated to volunteering and social commitment organized by Chiomenti in Milan and Rome, in collaboration with nonprofit organizations and third-sector entities, has successfully come to an end.

This year’s edition saw broad and cross-functional participation from the Chiomenti Community, involving more than 300 people, including Professionals, Business Support members and, for the first time, the Firm’s Alumni, who dedicated their time, energy and expertise to supporting the wider community.

WeCare Week is part of Chiomenti’s broader WeCare program, launched in 2019 with the aim of helping build a positive legacy for future generations and promoting a model of growth based on inclusion, responsibility and tangible impact. The initiative reflects the Firm’s values and long-term vision, grounded in the belief that sustainability should be embraced as a shared and everyday practice.

Throughout the week, 32 initiatives were organized, including awareness-raising events, prevention activities and volunteering opportunities across areas that are strategic priorities for the Firm: scientific research and healthcare, sport and inclusion, youth and child protection, social inclusion and the environment.

These initiatives offered numerous opportunities for active participation, ranging from supporting community meal services to preparing and distributing meals for people experiencing homelessness, as well as collecting and redistributing food to reduce waste and support individuals in vulnerable situations. These activities were complemented by educational and creative workshops, moments of engagement with children and young people, and projects aimed at improving school facilities and caring for community spaces.

Significant attention was also devoted to health and prevention through medical screenings and blood donation, as well as inclusive sports activities designed to foster collaboration, participation and integration.

The week was further enriched by discussions and in-depth sessions on topics of particular social relevance, including collective responsibility, pro bono activity, and the value of care as a tangible expression of support for people and communities facing vulnerability.

Participation figures confirm the continued strengthening of a culture of engagement and a model based on collaboration with organizations active in local communities, with a total of 557 registrations across all initiatives. The results of this second edition reaffirm the value of shared commitment and the Firm’s ability to translate principles and responsibilities into concrete action. They also reinforce the path undertaken through WeCare and encourage continued efforts to build a lasting and positive impact on communities and territories.
