Chiomenti goes to MIPIM | Italy and Beyond

On Wednesday, March 12, Chiomenti hosted the conference "Italy and Beyond" at MIPIM. Umberto Borzi and Patrizia Liguti, Partners, led discussions with industry leaders, experts and institutional representatives on the Italian real estate sector within a broader European framework. 

Speakers included Mario Abbadessa, Senior Managing Director, Head of Transactions Europe and Country Head Italy at Hines; Giuseppe Amitrano, Founder and Group CEO of Dils; Roberto Gualtieri, Mayor of Rome; Aldo Mazzocco, CEO and General Director of Generali Real Estate; Carlo Ratti, Co-founder of CRA - Carlo Ratti Associati; Giancarlo Scotti, Real Estate Director at CDP and CEO of CDP Real Asset SGR. 

The roundtable examined the challenges and opportunities of integration within an increasingly interconnected market, the alignment of operational and regulatory standards across Europe, and the strategies to attract global investments.

Italy's strategic dual role in the global real estate market emerged as a key theme - both as a prime destination for international investors and a competitive player expanding across Europe, reinforcing its leadership in the sector. 
Following an initial scenario analysis, the conversation delved into pivotal topics such as the role of institutional investors and asset managers in shaping the future of real estate, as well as the evolving dynamics of Rome's urban transformation.
