Virginia regularly assists Italian and international clients in matters concerning data protection and cybersecurity, both in relation to compliance issues and litigation. She supports clients in the design and implementation of compliance programs pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the management of data breaches, and the drafting of data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and internal policies.
She advises technology companies, industrial groups, and listed companies in proceedings before the Italian Data Protection Authority and other competent authorities, also providing legal representation in regulatory sanctioning procedures and in the management of inspections, investigations, and disputes involving data governance and regulatory breaches. She has also experience in white collar crime matters, anti-corruption assessments, compliance programs addressing criminal risk, and corporate criminal liability under Legislative Decree 231/2001. In addition, she collaborates in assisting domestic and international clients in the context of internal investigations.
