BENEDETTA MAURO

Benedetta assists Italian and foreign clients in international and domestic arbitration proceedings with a particular focus on investment, construction, international commercial contracts, Oil & Gas, renewable energy, corporate and post M&A disputes. She has been involved in both ad hoc and administered arbitrations (including as Secretary of the Arbitral Tribunal), with seat in different jurisdictions and under various rules (including ICC, CAM, Swiss Arbitration Centre) and applicable laws. She has gained experience at a primary boutique law firm specialising in international arbitration and at the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law – UNIDROIT. She is the Coordinator of the “Certificate in International Commercial and Investment Arbitration” and Assistant to the Editors of the international research project “Does a Right to a Physical Hearing Exist in International Arbitration?” (under the auspices of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration – ICCA). She has authored or co-authored various articles and book chapters on international arbitration and contract law, and she has been invited to speak at ILO’s International Training Centre, UNIDROIT and University of Siena.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

She is pursuing a PhD in Private Law at Roma Tre University School of Law, and she has been a Visiting PhD Student at the University of Cambridge.
