Chiomenti’s services in Italian and international competition law include continual assistance to companies in their commercial activity, notifying the Commission and competent national authorities of mergers, and assistance in proceedings related to abuse of a dominant position and agreements restricting competition before the Commission and the Italian Competition Authority.
The Firm has gained vast civil litigation experience in damages and emergency measures related to violation of competition laws and in the appeal of decisions of the Commission and national authorities before the EU courts and internal administrative judges.
The Firm is often involved with Italian and international clients in complete structured antitrust audit and compliance programs.
Through its presence in Brussels, Chiomenti offers assistance in EU Law matters, both in handling mergers on a European level and with particular reference to state aids, the free circulation of goods, persons, services, and capital as well as the sectors involved in liberalization processes (energy, transport, communication).
