The Firm gives legal advice covering all areas of the energy industry (production, transport, distribution, import, export, storage, regasification and trading), managing each stage of the project, from development and management to exit.
The Firm also has significant experience in the privatisation of public entities operating in the sector, as well as of the rules and tender procedures for the award of transport and distribution infrastructure concessions.
Chiomenti has also contributed in the development of the legal framework in the Energy sector (also at the regulatory level), and works side-by-side with its clients in coordinating with trade bodies and in liaising with the relevant government ministries and relevant authorities – including the European Commission through the Firm’s Brussels office – and in keeping in constant dialogue with the Institutions.
